Review: Bioderma Atoderm PP Baume

As I’m sure you can tell by the lack of frequent activity on my social media accounts; I’ve been a tad stressed lately. I want it all – the fashion and the finance but I’m battling to find the balance, you know how it goes. Anyway, my point here is that when I’m stressed I tend to break out in a rash on my neck and wrists which as you can imagine is most inconvenient. On the night of our Bloggers Who Bless Christmas in July party, it felt like the universe intervened when I randomly selected the one parcel containing the holy grail product for dry, sensitive or eczema-prone skin – Bioderma’s Atoderm PP Baume.

This is an ultra-nourishing face and body cream for everyday use. It stimulates the repair of the skin barrier, deeply moisturises and has been proven to prevent eczema flare-ups. The texture is rich but not greasy and penetrates instantly. This particular product is fragrance free ensuring optimal tolerance for its users. After using the Atoderm PP Baume twice a day for three days, my rash diminished to the size of a ten cent coin. Currently, I have had the product for just over two weeks and the tube is already half empty, not because you need to use that much but purely because I’m obsessed with the feeling of it on my skin and of course, the results. My skin is moisturised and clear and I say bring on my next existential crisis.

All Bioderma products are manufactured in France and because the brand develops and markets their products in close collaboration with dermatologists, their product ranges are only distributed to chemist-based retailers. You can find the Atoderm PP Baume at Dischem retailing for about R220. I will most definitely add this product to my routine chemist haul.
